On my mg the door mirrors have become loose and won't stay in position. I presume it's possible to tighten them up somehow? do you to remove the mirror to access a bolt or something? You can see the type of mirror in this pic, Cheers Gavin (Does anyone else think a tech section on this forum might come in handy?)

Hmm, remove the door trim, and see if there's any way to get to where the bolt goes in from there by reaching into the door. Looking at where the mirror is, is it possible that you won't have to remove the window glass? If not you might have to take it out right enough.

They look like standard issue BL mirrors to me.
There should be 2 screws underneath, give these a tweak and that should tighten up the ball joint.
If the whole mirror is moving, either the screw that holds the mirror to the plinth is loose or the plinth itself is loose in which case its a door card off job.

Loose mirrors, that really chaps my @ss. Makes it almost impossible to look at myself while driving.
