	Well, lets see if this works, being a complete numpty at this photo hosting malarkey! Having being on this site for a while, I thought it was about time that I started showing my own retro fleet (of 2!), starting with my beloved snot coloured Allegro, hopefully following soon with the Merc 190e after it's been slammed. [ As can be seen, 1- I'm not a great photographer and 2- it's slightly different from it's outside khazi 1300 "Super" spec with the addiion of some series 1 Sport wheel trims, MG midget head rests, Equipe front spoiler, and the crem de la creme of seventies tat, a Quartic square steering wheel. Well there you go, hope some of you out there like it, even though 64impala seems to have stolen my thunder a bit. ;D Sadly it looks like the 1275 big block is staying in this one for a while!

	Love that. Was trying to work out what was different about the front,then you mentioned the equipe spoiler.Are there any equipes left?I want one!

	The one we had was a 1750HL, in snapdragon yellow with black vinyl roof. It had a VDP dash and seats etc with a cut down Opel Manta front spoiler... my wife used it for college, but it was so unreliable That was a great car when it did work, soooo fast ;D

	Cheers for the comments guys. The main reason for getting the Allegro was the sheer 70's wrongness of it (that and a combination of half a bottle of Jack Daniels and Ebay. Some of us never learn....) Plans for this year are to make it look even more like an early model: rip the horrible plastic sideskirts off and see how much of the sills are left, remove the spoiler, fit the under bumper unipart foglights and paint the tailgate panel black as per the early 1750SS, to go with the series 1 bonnet and wing badges...maybe some ST style stripes. Irony? nah never heard of it.... Nice to know that my wife isn't the only one to hate Allegros, fiatfsm, she did buy me the Quartic wheel though so I have to wonder. Metromartin, the car started off as a 1300 Super de Luxe, possibly the most ambitious model name in the history of motoring! This meant in 1977 that you got fabric seats and a heated rear window! (is that a mk1 MG in your avatar? reminds me of my first car .Happy days!) captainwow, I've seen one equipe up for sale this year in the owner's club, problem is he wants about three grand for it, or about twenty times what this cost me!
