my first car was this nice little 87 1.3 C. sadly some old guy in a ROVER crashed into the back of it cosequently in was written off. this is my 1.3 CL bought for the huge sum of £50. all it needeed was a clutch cable and tax, also it had 7 months mot. The only issue was getting it home, a mate of mine skillfully drove it home for me changing gear minus the clutch! when I got it. spec: gti interior 16v rear lights fk ak colies wound to the bottom 14x6 vw teardrops with 175/50/r14 uprated bulbs homemade snooker ball gearknob jvc headunit a service and a lot of love and affection this is the winter look: any comments will be appreciated.

Teardrops are absolutely horrible wheels, but the painting you have done on them transforms them - well done!

That looks curse word hot. Real Euro on the 14s with small bumpers. I generally hate teardrops but those look damn good.

I'd stick to them mate. I know you're gonna do what you're gonna do anyway and that's the way it should be but I reckon it looks a damn site more unique those on there. If you have to get some more get some wide ass 14s because it's 15s as far as the eye can see right now...

I really like the detailing on the wheels, it really works well. If you are going to change the wheels make it a damn good choice, because it'll be hard to better your current look. Good luck with it though, look forward to seeing what you go for.

Don't go 14" mate, the side profile looks silly on mk2 as the arches are a funny shape,as the centres on dished wheels look to small.Assuming you were going for classics or steffans?Especially with the small bumpers. What about a low offset set of ronal ls,15x7.5.Detailed up.Perhaps diamond cut with body coloured detailing?
Personally,I'd keep it as it is,its hard to do something that actually looks fresh on the scene, trust me on that! But you've managed to pull it off.U considered a jetta lower panel on the grille? The one without the indents for the headlights

my ideas were to colour code the centres or the rim, and I'm looking for a jetta front rail, struggling tho. I'm still undecided on the wheel size, all i know for certain is i want the wheels to be level with the widest point on the arch so either a low offset or a wider wheel is what I'm looking for.

I love th16v splitters (got 2 left overs lying in my garage) but it's kind of cluttering the front up don't you think? I've really gotta shut up. If you like it (and can still clear ants) then go for it. I'll be looking forward to the devolopments though, I just hope it doesn't loose the individuality it's got now.
