hmm not sure if its a good thing or not but I have just purchased myself a victor. i'm only allowed one toy so the skoda will have to go is for sale on here retrorides.proboards86.com/index.cgi?board=FSW&action=display&thread=1200651012stuck a bid on and it went for less than I thought, the electrics are all over the place and it has been rednecked up the hilt. whoever did the work seems to have know what he was doing but the styleing is shocking in parts. Bizarely The confederate plates that were on the rear were wired into the alarm to stop people nicking them! might be ok and become a longterm project at worst I have bought a smooth sounding essex v6(?) and a set of useable wheels. Obviously be nice to get it up together again. if anyone has any info on this particular car or any hybrid ford/vauxhall expertise would be great but I don't know anymore than you can see at the moment. we will see......

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Thats bloody awesome. Find the number of a local airbrush artist and get it covered.
How much for the wheels if you break it?

I think that's awesome! The confederate tat isn't to my taste (and not really inkeeping with the scheme IMO) so that's the first thing i'd change, but yeah I think it's seriously cool, period mods rule! Is the flag on the roof stick-on or painted?

ah the red square is painted but the rest is vinyl, so will be coming straight off! theres a lot of tat bolted on air horns extra lights. those electric window winders that bolt over where the handles would be. twin electric aerials all needs to come off, and be redone.

Lower it again, lose the sidepipes, paint over that godawful roof flag and put bumpers back on it & decent mirrors and it would not look too bad. Rover V8 would be a better (& lighter) powerplant though. Good base car though.

Split rim slot mags (Champ 500s?) are cool! It's the perfect base for a Big Bertha replica!

NOOOO! leave it as it is! This car rocks. "lower it" pffttt. Loads of lowered cars about. I've got some photos of this car from back in its glory days (or were they gorey days LOL) I'm pretty sure it was a magazine feature car as well, Street Machine rings a bell. Thats is a way cool exemplar of our heritage.

you are not so much the owner of a car as a custodian of history there.
