I know its not particularly retro in a years sort of way but it is in styling.
Its a Mini Cooper Sport, i got it standard in june '05 since then i have done the following.
Stage 4 Head
1.5:1 Roller rockers
7cc Dish Pistons
Lightened and Balanced crank and rods
ultralight flywheel
Large bore maniflow manifold
GM ECU
Playmini stainless back box
Cat by pass pipe
K&N filter
fuel pressure regulator
drilled and grooved discs with mintex 1144 pads
hi los and konis
corbeau forza sports in side.
what i intended to do next was uprate the brakes to 4 pots, lighten the hubs and drive flanges, fit coilovers, and a 1380. But unfortunetly the water pump and expansion tank let go on monday and the engine is now extremely rattley so i think a major rebuild is on the cards, possibley the 1380 sooner than thought.
although it will soon become a weekend/summer car when i recieve one of these. Which defo looks retro i think.
