Hi Guys,
It's about time I introduced myself (been a lurker for far too long) and my cars.
I'm Paul, I'm 26 and i live in sunny North London.
First up is my 1978 Mk1 Golf 1.1n. I picked this up last year, for the princely sum of £200. It was completely original, 1 owner and cost £60 to get it back onto the road. I was a happy bunny, as these are starting to fetch quite a bit (the bumpers alone are worth more than i paid for it ;D)
How it was when i collected it:
After a bit of mild tweaking i cruised the summer away with it looking like this:
Until i took it off the road to investigate the small amount of rot (inner wings/front panel and rear arches) and get it prepped for a respray. Its now looking like this:
I think you get the picture! apart from a healthy slam and some new hoops, it will remain standard. I'll hopefully have it done this year. Here's the wheels:
And now onto the caddy. This was my first VW, bought from a friend for £500, completely standard, looking a bit scruffy but solid. I have owned this for about 4 years, in which time i have done some bodywork, put a 1.8.8v gti lump in, lowered etc etc..I'll let the pics do the talking:
And because i cant leave anything alone, this is also stripped and off to have some bodywork/a small bit of welding and a complete respray. Its going to the bodyshop tomorrow and i cant wait
Here's how she stands at present, i know it looked nice before, but it did need a bit of work, and hopefully it will last me for years to come...
And thats your lot for this evening. Il whack some pics of the Mazda up when i find some, but I'm sure this little lot will keep you entertained for now ;D
Cheers guys.
