Sold!!! Sad to see it leave your ownership Rian, You've really made it your own. The new owner is going to struggle to put his mark on it! Hope he's going to start his own thread? Thanks mate, take it as a compliment. As you know, life moves on. The new owner will make it his own. It will also have a camper interior, its own teardrop trailer and a great modern paint scheme. I would love it if he kept this thread open as his own. I would alter the title to suit him, but I have always seen this thread and the contributions from guys like Dave, Thorsten as a respurce to any other or aspiring owners.

You´ll need to cut off the middle lip off the Fiesta windscreen seal and drop it into a bucket of hot water to get it to fit - but they do fit ...oh and congratulations on your buy - looking forward to seeing the project continue.

Hello, I am the very excited new owner of this van. I drove it 212 miles home from Rochdale to London yesterday... Bloody hot and occasionally scary (the steering downhill at speed is interesting) but no real dramas. Only fault so far is leaking oil or grease from front left (hub?) which messes up the lovely wheel. I have no idea why the previous owner bought it, trailered it all the way oop north and then sold it again after barely 3 months. Did Grizz ever get the bees out if his ? The main reason I bought the van was that I read the entirety of this thread and realised how much effort had gone into getting it this far. I intend to keep the thread going, as it is a brilliant record. The van does appear to be in very good health, and hopefully only needs some attention to the steering and maybe brakes to be truly road-worthy. I intend to strip it down and paint it properly. Current thinking is to keep the interior stock with a simple rock and roll bed and retrim the seats. Also fit seat belts otherwise my better half won't get in it. For the outside I am thinking a simple colour scheme but possibly some fancy paint... Current daydream is a very dark metallic cherry red

I intend to keep the thread going, as it is a brilliant record. It's not usual for a Reader Rides thread to continue through different ownerships. May I suggest you start a new one documenting what you are doing to make the van your own, especially as your plans sound quite exciting.

Been almost a year that this van got its second owner after me.
Mystery Machine saw it on an industrial estate once ladt year.
Was wondering if anybody knows what has happened to it since.

Got sent this photo by a friend. Looks like the van is a different beast now. Looking forward to seeing it reappear on the circuit. It's been 4.5 years plus since I sold it.
