I came across this board the other day and was impressed. I'm from the states (Seattle, Washington) so a lot of the cars I like are stuff we don't get (Cortina's, Escort Mk1, Hillman Imp's, etc..) Well here is my 1973 Datsun 240Z. The specs are... 3.1 stroker motor (280Z block with Nissan big bore kit), N42 head, Mikuni 44mm sidedraft carburetors, Mikuni manifold, Schneider cam (mild) MSA 6-1 header, JIC Racing Ti muffler with 3" piping, Cusco strut bars, adjustable coilovers (Ground-Control springs, Tokico Illumina adjustables, sectioned strut housing), Nardi steering wheel, BRE wing (carbon fiber), SSR Longchamp XR4 rims (15x8 -14 in the rear and 15x7.5 -7 in the front), Toyo T1R tires, shaved badges/trim/signals and a bunch other misc stuff. I'm putting smaller bumpers on but for now it's bumperless...I think it looks pretty good actually. The ground is not level in the pics...that's why the front wheels have a bit more gap than the rear. The car is pretty low though and handles great. It's making around 230hp at the flywheel which is perfect for now since the car doesn't weigh that much....it's definitely a good street motor with usable mid range torque. Take care.

Great first post, and welcome.
You will find variety here, and a load of very tallented people.
Beautiful car and spec sheet.

Damn now this I like! Wheels are great and car looks suprisingly good without bumpers, perhaps because I've never really liked the front of S30s. With G-nose however they are one of the best looking cars ever IMO. So that's what I recommend you do is find 240ZG stz front bumper and matching flares then even wider wheels to fit them . Like this: Or to be a little more extreme...

I'm from the states (Seattle, Washington) so a lot of the cars I like are stuff we don't get (Cortina's, Escort Mk1, Hillman Imp's, etc..) If you haven't already done so you should get in contact with Al Peterson, he's in Seattle and also into Imps etc. If you're in Seattle and into Imps you probably already know him anyway! IIRC he posts on here as Impfected.

Datsun 240Zs have really grown on me. Yours is absolutely stunning! I too think it looks great without bumpers but you obviously have excellent taste, so it will continue to look brilliant. The spec sheet is a bit saucy too... ;D I bet it sounds wonderful. Any videos? "I'm"

I should have a video soon of the dyno run it had a few weeks back.
I'll also get some pics up when the bumpers are on and also some engine shots.
Thanks for all of the positive comments...I really appreciate it.
