Right, this is my "retro" lada niva, its pretty standard but it has new shocks, also custom stickers! Its a 1997, but they started making these in the 1970s (i think) and it wasnt changed much at all, the styling is exactly the same. I have some plans for her, we have some peugeot 309 GTI seats, and I want to rasie the suspension and put a snorkel on it. Also I want to change the faded white and rust paint job, might do it a red or blue marble effect. So without further ado, heres my lada! Since these photos ive added some "all wheel drive club" stickers, removed all the badges (as they're rust traps) and got it nice and muddy! ;D Thoughts?

Excellent, join the lada clan! Pop along to my forum too, as well as lada uk to speak to fellow owners! The Niva is the king of the 4x4s and will trounce most others out there.

;D I see your 309 in your signature, my brother had one, great car, until the gyppos nicked it and tried to trash it, it was found in waitrose carpark relatively unharmed, but they'd damaged something that I have no idea what (sorry about that, my brother never told me) so we stripped the alloys, seats, everything good and sent it off to the crusher.

I had a Niva years ago, great off-roader!
Don't forget any Suzuki SJ/Vitara and Daihatsu rim will fit as well if you want to go overboard tyrewise. Not that you need to, they will go just about anywhere.

Thanks guys, and perry, I'm not going to lower it. If anything ill raise the suspension, and brian, range rover rims will fit also, but i need to find the right ones. I might get some bigger wheels but it must be able to fit on the trailer. I wont be insuring it, by the time i can drive it'll be a bit more worse for wear, and ill get something else for a road car.
