Just thought id let u guys in on a little project that has bin going, and also to thank the bestest guys ever for helping me out and doing the biggest part of the project toooooo!! To start, I had a 1ltr manual choke B reg breadvan, in mars red... was pink wen I got it. I've had it for almost 4 years now, is my first car and have loved every min of it.. but now I'm more experienced at driving and have a need for 5 gears... I decided to buy a write off gt. Here it is It was sat down the road in some old ladies drive for a few months, then she moved out and since then it has bin sat in my back garden, until one thursday I had a very very lovely clubpoloer turn up. The friday morning when I came home from uni, I found the gt engine already out and the mk3 was looking rather bare.... I will post all the pics so far and comment a bit on wots happening in them: Mk2 bay b4 I pulled it out after GT engine now out Bit of a tidy The one and only HoppyGti hard at work (Richard) New look mk2 Look who popped round!!! The sniper Phil Its in! Want to know how to get rid of a mk3?? oh and this small vid too The engine has to come back out again coz my dad has to weld in a section of the bay from the mk3 to hold the servo, it is much needed as it just didnt want to stop lol Also I'm gunna fit the front suspension from the mk3 and the dash, it is in but I havnt got a pic as yet, wanted it to be in all fitted coz the clocks n stuff are all hanging out still lol And... while the engine is still out I will fit the g40 inlet manifold that I swapped for my gt wheels!!! chers for that Dave :-D Massive massive thanks to Rich n Phil, this never wud have happened if it wasnt for u 2.... and Rich for coming down the whole wknd and Phil for coming back tuesday to finish all the wiring off.... think Phil was chuft for all the effort after he took it down the road!!!! hahahaha Will update as soon as I've got rid of some more cars :-D :-D

Hahaha wow I didnt realise that many of u lads saw her hidden in all the dubs, yeah she was at OE... 55mph all the way haha... did get up to 70 on the way home tho oooooooo And plans for the polo are, home made coilies coz its a 6month wait to get them - retrim the interior, dunno what yet tho - lower prof tyres - respray at some point but will do for the time being - decat and all that mumbo jumbo - probs a momo steering wheel at some point too and I'm hunting down a mk2 derby front grill atm with square headlights as the mk1s have funny shapped headlights and wont go in oh and I'm thinking about putting a britex roof in tooooo And plans for the hornet are respray next year - new interior with the newer reclining seats as the originals kill ur back after 20min - new interior will be cream leather seats with dark green piping - have already got a dark green carpet to go in and want to get hold of the beatle roof lining that is perferated - a bigger britex sunshine roof in mohair cream - deciding on 2 steering wheels atm - clean and polish the engine and bay as they are disgusting - got new bonnet and boot annnd a brand spanking new front grill too umm will let u know if I can think of anything else hehe ohh and almost forgot... whte walls of course!

Well been quite slack lately haven't I! Ive copied these from another website if it doesnt make sense! Ok so i got a little bored today in this fab weather and gave my mate Tim James a call.... After leaving him for 5 minutes i came back to my car to see that he had also been a bit bored and did this: ...only kidding, i asked him to do it lol anyway we got to what seemed to be a very good repair behind where the top spat pops onto the wing... turns out they cudnt be bothered to pull out the initial dent and was damn luck we found it now as the beginnings of rust were starting to show... then my dad cudnt resist helping out any longer and got stuck into sorting that dent out spag bowl was calling my dad so back to just Timmay making sure the rest of the filler wasnt hiding anything else then came the bit that Tim is a pro in.... paint work .... ok so there are a few runs..... but he is a professional sprayer..... honest lol so this will be the look for the polo the next few weeks... fun! The rest is here www.southerndubbers.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=2064&st=60.... But skip a few months and Christmas... this is one thing that happened.... And this is what she looks like now Just a little improvement that I've been meaning to do since I put the wheels on the car!
