well i was searching ebay for something abit more economical and found this The question is... ... is it retro yet because i kinda like it id never heard of this before but its actually a 1.0 td very strange its nippy in a slow kind of way but ive bought this to get me about as cheap as possible what you think

The mpg they get is ludicrous! Over 100 if you're gentle. The older one was in the Guiness Book of Records until just a few years ago for best mpg for a production car driven around the UK or something with an average of 109mpg.
You'd think with the cost of fuel these would be in high demand, but they're quite unknown so prices are pretty low.

i really need to take a picture of the turbo it really is the smallest thing ever and i very doubt it could ever run any amount of bhp

Lets clear up car terms: "Understeer" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car. "Oversteer" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car. "Horsepower" is how fast you hit the fence. "Torque" is how far you take the fence with you.

I love the engine noise of these cars, its totally bizarre. My mate used to have one which he ran on red (obv he found it a bit expensive to run on ordinary juice :

well today was judgement day for the daihatsu engine got a 2 litres of the finest veg oil whiped my fuel inlet pipe off and stuck it in the oil all went well and ran just as it did on derv and I ain't even fitted a pre heater yet so 100percent success

awesome! now if the govermanet really was interested in the enviroment all diesels would be running on veg oil! just imagine the huge amount of emmisions no longer going into the atmosphere! good work mate!
