Hey all - some of you may have seen my ride out and about gas hopping or showing off around good ol' Weston He's an 84' Regal - imported by someone from Bristol last year - the poor bloke was ripped off IMHO. Most American lowriders are of questionable quality...and this one is no exception Shocking work on the whole install - bad welding, curse word wiring, curse word fabrication - the list goes on. So i'm currently working my magic on it slowly this winter. In the middle of a total frame wrap ATM - this'll give me the rigidity for higher hopping and pulling stable static 3's.

Okay - here he is as he arrived on my driveway after i bought him from the poor sod in Bristol...... Story is it caught fire in the container on the way over, as the switchbox was left active, and the pumps ran until the batteries got so low, they just burnt up.... And set fire to the inside trunk.... no huge damage, but hoses and wiring were totally shot to hell. I started ripping it all out and began crawling over the cock-ups. Here are the highlights... Fuse keeps blowing? Just fit a bigger one... if it melts the holder....just add a bigger one....... Earthing - wassat then ? They took the regal out using a forklift....and crushed the tank..and the pickup..... "Amazing" ICE install.....

Onto the actual hydraulics then..... I won't go into the tech side - i can't be arsed.... ;D Basically, this is where the hydraulic ram was "fitted" to the rear axle.... and this is the "hymes joint"...not. A chain bridge is sometimes fitted to help as a lever to pull awesome 3 wheels... this was the owners attempt....a piece of angle bodged to the cross brace frame section.......it didin't work.... upper arm bushes were absent...... Front cylinders were floating about in the spring cups.... missing hub nuts.... Astro shelf hinges.... the list went on and on and on..... ;D

I gave the rear cylinder mounts a good tw** with "old faithful" and they just flew off Fitted PROPER cylinder mounts..... Started on correct axle bracing and support.. reworked a bodged setup in the boot that worked...and was SAFE ! finished supports, lowered the upper arms by 5" I spent 3 days gilding the areas of the bodywork that were damaged....

Respect for saving this lowrider from lowrider death. It really was bodged in every way possible - i would have walked away and scratched my head! The frame wrap looks good - full marks for doing it all yourself as well....
