The missus was even impressed - and that's saying something - I have to point out that she now expects all 'garage addicts' to turn out the class work you've got here....... damn you! Top notch results Dave - excellent to see n hear it....... big grin and a warm fuzzy feeling inside I think I speak for every single one of the addicts who've contributed to the 30,000+ reads of this EPIC thread when I say I now stand and applaud you fine sir............ Slap on the back to your boy and electrical guru friend, I know they've been there for the journey too. Well done mate - will be an honour to try n keep up for RR08 ;D John *EDIT* - I know I'm not getting in front 'mit zu wenig bremsen'

Wow, what can i say?
Words fail me. You´re all just just unbelievable. How did i ever manage without this place?
Don´t want to bore you all with saying thanks over and over again but thanks (over and over again!), without all your support and help this definately wouldn´t have happened.
About ten years ago i met up with the "Busraser" who are all on the save wavelength and although they live miles away we keep close contact, we´ve become very good friends and help each other out where possible.
...and this place is the same ...just bigger!!! ;D
I had a serious accident a few years ago which left me partially disabled with only limited use of my left arm, (but who listens to doctors anyway) and there were a lots of times when my mojo was low and the only thing that kept me going were you lot!!!
So thanks again to Grizz, Seth, Bigrod, Filthyjohn, Dollywobbler, Tri, Ben-VW, Hairnett, Sidspop, Dubsttar74, BC, Uselessbug, Totti, Gtvsaviour, who´ve posted since my last round of thank you´s.
Despite some of the negative vibes that have been going around the last few months, Retro Rides is still a credit to all you guys (and Hotwire) and I´m proud to be part of it!
Looking forward to meeting some of you at Satan Pod for "Classic Ford" in a couple of weeks time and if i haven´t killed myself beforehand we´ll definately be over for RR08! ;D

Spent yesterday and today in Dave and Christians company at my gaff, as always, great fun and more importantly, great learning from Dave.
Thanks also Dave for the 6meter lengths of 2x2 Ally square tubing you brought.
Hope the trip was uneventful and that you have the Merc running by tomorrow night.

Well just got back from the sprayers. Most of the dents are out and it´s looking ok again... it´ll never win prizes for it´s paint job but that was never the point anyway. I´ve got exactly two weeks to finish it off now, shame the electrics are playing up and it won´t start I´m charging the battery overnight and when i get back from collecting the "new project" tomorrow afternoon i´ll have another go at starting it...then i can get stuck into the rebuild!!! ;D
