After a bit of deliberation, procrastination and examination, I have just bought this absolute BEAUT of an Ovlov on Fleabay. Maybe, just maybe, it'll be a great project! 1.4 RWD! FTW! I R Baboon! I have no idea's for it other than Renault lump transplant and making it a little bit 'skinny' Subtle all the way as the Missus wants to drive it too. Love the 'Elderly Grey' colour! Yeah Baby! Beautiful swedish clunkernish interior! Fantastic! In the style of Ace Ventura: Can you feel it?! Can ya?! Huh?!

I'm completely undecided on rimz. I like the idea banded steels in gloss black. Stickage is a must, it has to be done! I haven't a clue about these but, that just makes it all the more interesting!

Saw this on the bay myself. This site is a seriously bad influence! As is the chap who was drifting behind me in one near St Ives at the weekend...
Actually, heading back, I was drifting the Civic myself! Seriously greasy roundabout! Terrifying understeer followed by lift off oversteer. All very slow and undramatic to the passer-by but got the heart beat going!

Cool it is. I still have the 'Oh what have I done' feeling every now and then. Undecided on wheels, might pinch a bit of Boso and a call it 'Swe-Bo'

Looks like a nice car, nearly tempted to go take a look at that myself when I was after one. But I got a yellow example instead I'm really loving the 3 door shape lately, quite distinctive. You'll need to source some 340 1.7 parts for your planned conversion

Nice one. I'd been watching that myself, is it as tidy as the pics suggest? I'm deffinately going for a 300 series Volv next, weather it be a 340 with Ren 16v or just a slammed 360 with all the bells and whistles i'm yet to decide? Keen to see what yo do with this. If yo do go down the engine route, could you do a "how to guide" ;D

Oh dear gawd! I've spoffed all over the keyboard! That pic is exactly what I want, Leigh/Matt! The pics don't quite do the car it's justice. You don't feel the wallowy bog standard suspension, the heater that melts your face, the heated seats that feel like you've just advanced in age by 60yrs and your bladder just let go and the incredible wind noise that sounds like you have no doors! It feels like home A 'how to' ? Why the hell not? As soon as I can, it'll be done! Need idea's on prices for banded steels though.. what do you think, 14x7's?

Hehe.. stock 340 suspension is rather interesting... I was shocked when I got my 343 as my 360 handles and corners much better.
Wind noise shouldn't be too bad though - check your door/window seals, in good shape they're pretty quiet under 80mph especially without a sunroof.
