Ok well this started a long ,long time ago for those of you who remember it a Magazine called "Retro Car Magazine" it had a section called "our rides " well at the time i was working as a Photographer for them and my car was in the magazine just after i bought a bare shell of good old ebay .. well now four years later it is done... it was only in there a few times as i had just got the project started and then the mag shut down after i had the car about 6 months.
some say i should have ditched the project and got something else but i knew what i wanted and after 3 false starts .....on its third engine in 500 miles i am glad i stuck with it.
The Car is used for track days so weight loss was needed so the inside was striped and a fiberglass bonnet and tail gate were put on the car the front wings re-fabricated in ally along with the door skins , the body has been smoothed off and glass and replaced with plexiglass ( except windscreen ).
The first two engine's did not last first one was just Cr@p and the second suffered Oil Surge at snetterton and seized up .
So now it has a 12,000 mile 3.9 V8 out of a Marcos running with Eddelbrock manifold and a new 390cm holly carb . The head is all polished and ported and there is a set of Kent Cams ( race ) fited .
it is putting out about 280 as a peek bhp and 320 torque
and the car comes in at 980Kgs
Willwood disks are fitted to the front with fast road pads.
Just like to say a big thanks to www.guglielmimotorsport.co.uk who sorted out the engine for me .
when i get some interiour shots ill put them here but this was the car last wek on a wet Nurburgring in Germany where it done 10 laps to bed in the engine etc and the new suspension
