hi guys I have a 1980 gold vauxhall chevette it is all standard at the moment with a 1.3 engine. The only thing that stops it from running is the carb the piston doesn't move up or down unless moved with force. We have how ever grinded down the spings and it now is proper low lol. I am planning to spray it black get big crome wheels and bumpers and possibly put a bigger engine in it so if anyone has and advise please get in touch.
we have some picks so hopefully get them on here asap.

Ok heres the plan. Cut springs and add 13x7 superlights. Game over. Silver sparkly wheels will look jingles with that paint colour.

Thanks for the advice guys the chevettes on this slight are awesome and thanks for the pics edd. i have finally decided to keep it standard apart from lowered and new paint job and a bigger engine. The only problem is that i want a bigger engine, i've got the 1.3 running so thats good for now but wanna find one that slips in reasonably easy so any recomendations would be great i was thinking pinto or a V8 would be hardcore!!! i'll have a look around and and keep you up to date.

Looking good man. Good luck with getting that filthy 1256 going again. I like evrything but this part: Small wheels are the way of the future ;D ps coggers, loving the little chevette/kadett summary you put up. Its impossibly hard to find project threads on this forum. There needs to be a summarized version of everything in A-Z order, or is there already?? |

I'm also stupid enough to own a chevette but i havent got a clue where the post has gone proabably fallen off the edge of the planet by now, its been that long since i worked on it!!
