Excellent work. Looks like a very thorough job indeed, the underside is quality. Hope to see how it progresses from now on.

Nice I used to have a black one back in the 80s and I have had a hankering for another just recently! Tell me you going to fit either a 8v or 16v turbo and get yourself the power steering off the later 2.0 super mirafiori ;D

I saw on in huddersfield last weekend it looked awesome love the colour That'd be mine then! Glad you like it. The colour is Fiat arancio racing orange 255F. When the car's finished he's got a 127 sport in the same colour that's going to get the same treatment. That should be a bit easier to sort out compared to the 131 as it's in pretty good nick as it is. The windscreen and seem sealer were the only things keeping the front end together on the 131 apparently.

there was a metalic grey one at grangemoor garage on wakey road years ago just sat rusting...shame these cars are totally awsome...cant wait for the 127 either 75hp of pure thrash!! That's my friends garage. The grey car was the donor car for my first 131 I was running at the time. I wish I had the space that I have now to have kept it at home because looking back,it was more savable than all of the knackered cars i've stripped apart since then. The local scrapper took it away without asking if i'd finished with it as well, which really pi55ed me off as it still had some good parts on it. I'm not far from the cooper bridge roundabout at the far end of leeds road at bradley. More progress yesterday. Nigel booked yesterday off work to get most of the mechanicals together and start cleaning them up ready for painting. I was bored at work on monday and still had four holidays left to book,so what better a thing to do than to book a couple of days off, travel over the yorkshire border to blackburn in my tango car and help him dig it all out. First job was to drop some trim off at the bodyshop which gave me an excuse to take some non shakey photos with my own camera. Then a trip to a different storage point to pick the engine, gearbox and other greasy bits up ready for steam cleaning at his mate Pete's garage. The rad got the treatment too. Suprising how little effort the steam cleaner made of it all.
