I'm hoping to get into Sprinting next year, this little thing came up for sale at a good price and I couldn't resist. I'm blaming it all on Retro Rides @ Mallory Park! 1986 Honda CRX rolling shell in great condition. Tokico Illumina shocks Hydraulic Handbrake Full cage with side bars. Sparco seats and five point harness. Remoted filler and boot release. Phat slicks Stripped into an inch of it's life...estimated at 700kg..... ....no engine. I have a B16a1 VTEC engine (to be tuned), full loom, management, etc all ready to go in next year which should make the equivelant of 260bhp per tonne. ;D Cack pictures, but you'll get the idea.

I think removing the engine is taking the whole stripped-out look a bit far. How far are you going with the lightening? If you really want to go to town but keep it cheap you can replace windows with perspex, take a holesaw to the door inners and rear 3/4 inners. Don't these have a glass panel in the tailgate? Remove and replace with 2mm acrylic, and use a grinder to remove the "inside" of the boot and bonnet leaving them effectively single skin. Or run bonnetless, that would look cool.

The Mark 2's have the glass in the rear, this one is just plastic. Even the boot lid is suprisingly light, so the only way seems to be chopping metal. Infact, everything is so dam light, lol...bonnet, plastic wings, bumpers, etc.

These ones came with the car...it was a bit of bargain price. I think they're around $450 ex shipping & VAT.
