was it really that long ago I read the Jon hill feature?!!! loved it back then and still ticks all the right box's now.. crack on with it and remember the photos... we love photos!!!!!! Yep long time ago now, Jon was not even taking the pictures then. You want photos , here goes . Told you they were not exciting , just an empty engine bay. Still got some bits to remove , coil, fuel regulator and breather tank.( all these bits will be for sale soon). Will fit engine, and get it up and running and then pull it apart and freshen the engine bay up.

Busy day today . Picked up engine at 12 today, got home and had to try it in the hole. First attempt was a bit disappointing, had to remove the original ford gearbox mounts. Just cut them off or now will drill out spot welds when its out again. Second attemp went better. Sitting on the original Nssan anf Ford mounts. They line up quite well. Bit of cutting and welding to the original Nissan mount should see it sitting an inch lower in the engine bay. Next weekend I should have two daus on it to sort out the mounts then I can fit the intercooler and rad.

Cheers for the posotive comments.
Just spent half hour trying bits and pieces on . Wiring loom all plugged into the engine (good old japanese , colour coded all the plugs). I reckon I can get the intercooler in with a slight mod but the rad is too big.

good plans and nice to see something different.. Thanks. I do always try and think of a different engine when I do an engine swap, Zetec in a viva- then supercharged . Pinto in this cortina when I was told it would not work (that was 12 years ago).

Looks like I have sorted the rad problem , had a dig around in the radiator book at work and have found a 325 bmw one that will fit the hole nicely , and being from a 2.5 6 cylinder it should be up to the job. Will try and get the intercooler modified this weekend so I can fit that and the rad.

I think its to help with airflow or something. Plus looks mega cool But now I realise you meant the rad is too wide not too tall, I thought you meant its too tall sorry mate Ah cheers . don't think it woulld look that cool hanging through the front of the cortina anyway.

Got the engine mounts all tacked up this weekend , all mounted were it should be , will weld them up fully when the engine comes back out. Engine sits low enough now can even get the strut brace back in. Then concentrated on the intercooler and rad. Really wanted to use the intercooler that came with the engine as I did not want to fit something smaller to then have to cut the car about again to geta bigger one in. Luckily a little trim up of the slam panel was all it needed. Its a tight fit but its there. Just need to get the inlet and outlets moved to a more suitable location then work on the hoses. Also dropped the rad in to make sure it all fits and that looks to be ok too.
