My last car I'm going to post on here!
Those of you of the imp club will probably have seen this, and realised ive not made any more progress, but for those of you who havent seen it, here it is:
1967 Imp Californian, wide arched, low, on 7X13's up front and 10X13's at the rear .
Its going to have a turbo'd 998 motor in it with custom driveshafts, wishbones and suspension.
Ok, i bought this part done, but the part done was bodged, it was rotten as a pear, in fact it was more rotten than the most rotten pear ive ever seen, and ive seen a few badly rotten pears, LOL
So its basically had every single tiny dot of rust cut out and new metal welded in, the only panels ive bought for it where 3 arch repair sections, sills and one complete wing. All the floors, inner arches, chassis members, suspension mounts have all been fabricated by me and my helpful dad!
Its now got to the stage where under neath has all been fully etch primed, stonegaurded, laquered and rebuilt with laquered copper brake, fuel and clutch lines with all new brass fittings. its had its current wishbones shot blasted and resprayed and rebuilt, although these will be coming off and being cut up to make my new tubular high strength wishbones!
I'm now at the stage of awaiting an engine and some spare time to get on with it. Just started a new job and along with other peoples cars i work on, i have no time to do anything apart from at night, which is impossible!!
