Ok, my 309, well it started life as a 309GRi [basically a base model 5 door with gti suspension and the 205 1.6gti engine dropped in for good measure along with the 205 1.6GTi pepperpots!!].
I bought the car for the engine [for transplant into my 205] for the measly sum of £165, got it home and drove it for a couple of days. the bodywork is damned good for a k plater so I had the engine out and dropped in a 405dt lump. this was tweaked quite a bit but after much abuse the head gasket gave way and destroyed the head and block.
its now evolved into a bit more of a brute!
its got a 406 1.9DTurbo lump in it running 18psi of boost, with a seirra cosworth front mounted intercooler and custom intercooler pipework.
ive lowered the front end by around 15mm, the back end is low enough as it is [its my sound system demo car atm], its got 1.9GTi alloys on it now and an eccosse roof spoiler. theres a bit of a boy racer backbox, 15quid so I cant complain, and the rearbeam has been rebuilt with nylon bushes to rid it of those pesky bearings!!
Ive tried to keep the interior as standard looking as possible, don't want the wrong sort of attention
