After a dalliance with a Mazda 1500 and a flirtation with a deeply strange (but awesome) Renault 16TS, I'm back in a rotor: It's a 1980 series 1 with a 12a mild port. And a Gilmer drive. Zeeee! It's got S5 seats in the all-black interior. It's got Whiteline springs, pedders shocks and some old-school 13x6 (6.5?) wheels. It was originally that pale metallic blue that RX-7s came in but is now 1997/8 Camry maroon. It needs minor bits and pieces done to it, which I'll be describing here. It also "needs" different wheels (not that these aren't OK, but, well, you know), rust repairs, particularly around the rear hatch and near the door mirrors, the front bumper straightened and a few other things besides that can wait because for a while yet I will be fanging it about like there's no tomorrow. ;D

No, no more 16. It was getting very thin in the paint and was beginning to show surface rust. I felt bad about parking it outside 24/7 when it was mechanically so good. I sold it to a dude who showed up to look at it in a DS21 and came to pick it up in a current-shape Laguna wagon -- so it's gone to a good home.

Yeah, I think so, too. Suggestions take as to alternative designs for wheels.

I'd leave the wheels as they are, maybe add a subtle gold pinstripe acroos the flanks to pick up the gold in the wheels?
