Well thought it was about time that I did a readers ride about my rally car.
I bought it earlier this year as a shell barely with the wheels attached, it was pretty grim and hadnt been used, just sat outside for at least 5 years.
Plan was get it back on the road and restore it to full Hartwell spec minus floor chop.......
Pretty much all went to plan and it made its first appearance at Tatton park classic show....then about 2 weeks later disaster struck when the nearside radius arm snapped off at the bearing casting leaving me with a bit of a mess :roll:
Managed to get it all fixed up a couple of days before the imp nation though, was cutting it a bit fine though lol.
Unfortunately I didnt manage to take many pics during all this as I was in quite a hurry but Frank did take a most excellent vid of my stripping my gearbox on the way back from the trackday at the national.......uk.youtube.com/watch?v=6JYP4_c_IRY
After a very eventful box change at the National (Impressions artical coming soon) it made it all the way home back to sunny Cheshire
Since then I made quite a few more changes, the most noticeable....hitting it with the lowering stick a bit more :twisted: , it also saw a fair bit of action during the summer having a few laps at Oulton park Gold cup and then Curbough track day the following week.
