You could wire them as DLR's ? People seem to have built up reliance on them a bit - why people can't look in the mirror and go ooh its a bit bright behind me dips might be useful or people have their visors down best make sure they can see me I don't know. (pet peeve sorry !). When is the first timed outing ? James

Blumin Heck Mark you could bring down a zeppelin with those.
They are a touch bight if you want to dim the down give them a rub with a scotch-bright pad to frost them over.

James, I missed the Hot Rod drags so I don't know now. Off to Popstalgia this afternoon. The do make a 5/21w version of the same bulb for daylight running lights but it would require extra wiring to make it work. Pete, not possible as they have about 10 SMD's built into them. Anyway, I like them this bright Maybe worth looking at the LED headlamp conversion as well too.......

Hmm - Pity that period building in the background does not match the period look of the pop When I saw this at sunrise this morning, my first thought was a Jaguar, Aston, Bristol, Range Rover, Rolls (insert vehicle of choice here), etc., would pull it off. Somehow though, I love the contrast. We need more of 'this car shouldn't have this backdrop' pics. Besides, the grass needs cutting.

It was a good weekend - I tied with 2 other cars for participants choice, Mick Taylor with the Banshee Racing fordson was the one whose name got picked out of the hat to win the award though but at least I still have the knowledge that all 3 of us won really. These were the other two I tied with.

I like the fact that yours inquite subtle with a quick glance, then you look again and start noticing details

Now the Anglia has a few miles under its belt have any teething problems shown up or are you on top of everything?

No real teething problems, it sounds 'cammy' inside the car (but not outside) which has worried me for a while, but logic is now overruling paranoia in accepting its just the way the exhaust sounds and to live with it. It's done 2,300 miles so if it were a cam issue it would have destroyed itself by now. It has a slight harmonic vibration at 55mph, possibly prop not perfectly balanced? so the easy solution is to drive it at a different speed. It's noisy!!! not so much engine as general wind roar, so steps are afoot to try to seal the doors better - they are watertight, but not wind tight. Engine has run a little warmer than I'd like - it's run at the correct temps but only because the electric fan has worked more than I think it ought to. Since i moved to trans cooler under the radiator and the weather is cooler it's hardly used the fan in the last 300 miles and its barely got past 195f. Oil temps get a bit high at continuous high speed cruising - 250 degrees f at 80 mph after 10 mins but will drop quick if I back off, so 'maybe' an oil cooler is needed, though it runs at 210 or less if under 60. It might be because I welded a 3mm plate on the sump for protection -this may be stopping the sump cooling properly, so a finned ally sump may be a solution as well. Springing is still too firm, so more springs to order to experiment with softer ones. Otherwise a few squeaks to eliminate and thats about it really. Checked fuel consumption this weekend as I thought it was about 15mpg, turns out it does 20mpg so well happy with that!

That's good then no major issues just a few tweaks, most new cars have more issues than that!!
Good fuel economy as well, bonus!

Try this one - my parking spot in the hotel Better - but I think it would look great pictured parked outside / alongside the large illuminated 'Mclaren' sign at the entrance to the factory in Woking (just down the road for Mark) but with a nice 'My Car Is Better Than Yours' sticker in the side window
