Passenger door panel is done now.
I had a couple of hours free today so templates were made and the footwell panels are now done as well. Drivers side one will need a bit of fibreglassing as it needs to have a fold put in it for better pedal clearance. 1188 hours

Amazing work just keeps going on and on mate.
Not commented for a while as I feel I don’t add much.
The door panel clips when used correctly makes for such a tidy job.

Nice work Mark. Those trim clips look useful, where are they from?

I'll need to look them up Paul, not cheap though! Plastic holders are known as 'snapsac' holders - different lengths available so I'll confirm the length for you (too short & they don't work). Clips I think are known as Bresco clips.

Very similar yes, it's a fairly std fitting. The snapsac fitting I got from Bresco who were the least expensive. They don't seem a lot until you realise you need 120 for all of the panels....... The clips were from Woolies trim who were also the least expensive when I bought.

Another bit of time after work tonight got the passenger rear panel templated & cut. All fittings added and now in the car. It will need some additional work to fit under the window trim at the B post top as there is a hollow bit there, but I have a cunning plan for that. I've also been playing with the the heater vent outlets where they need extending out of the console side panels - Phil had got some gutter downpipe fixings that fitted the vents perfectly, but I have a neater solution in my mind that will also be easier for maintainance in the future. 1190 hours.

They are from a 6mm dowel kit I bought years ago. A little masking tape round them makes them fit bigger holes. A quick ebay search shows they are available in several sizes - pointy things

Love this thread as, much like project cars themselves, they are never done!

I've been mostly busy with decorating the last few days but got a few hours on Phils car today. The bootlid panel was the next one on the list as it was nice weather, and finally the last one - the drivers side reap panel. Just the infill peices at the B posts to be made and glued to the rear panels and it will all be ready for trimming. 1193 hours

It was my birthday today so I celebrated it by doing a bit of work on Phils pop I am now officially a (miserable) old git but at least I get free prescriptions The prototype side panels got chopped out where the heater outlets are and panels with correctly sized holes were placed over extra long tubes from the heater and fixed in the right place. These can now be checked for dimensions and correctly positioned panels re-cut. The heater vents fit snugly in the machined holes and can spin round for airflow direction. I'll cut some new panles tomorrow.
