Well it has now arrived in my garage ( well yesterday ) and the fun can begin.
Some history, this was my mate Chris' first car which he sold a few years ago, when he sold he latest Montego last week, he got it back a a kind of part ex.
As you will see it looks fairly shoddy and it also does not have much of an interior, but the car is very solid now having had a large amount of welding over the last few years. The gearbox is a bit shonky but fixable hopefully.
Well the plan is to turn it into a 1980's verion of one of these
Colour scheme will be different but will have the black bonnet as the all seemed to have, depends on what we can get very cheap but will probably be some kind of nato green.
The plan is to complete this for less that £100 (in the theme of the sub £100 drag car) so any donations of fog/spot lights or paint would be appreciated, they don't have to be matching. The time scale is to have it complete for the Maestro 25th anniversary celebrations next year.
Anyway here goes
