Got this 1982 80CD 5S about 6 weeks ago with a mahoosive 29,000 from new and all history to prove! Didn't need much apart from the old boy who owned it had scraped the one side! Thanks to the guys at the garage opposite for sorting out the paint! Big thanks to FPK for putting her on the deck! Lowered on 60mm Jamex springs and adjustable Spax shox. Wheels are polished 13 x 7j ATS classics with 175 x 50 x 13 Pirelli Drago's! Now the old girl has a scene ticket and some attitude! Welcome to "The Four Ring Mafia!!"

Nice looking car, but in my opinion the wheels are too small for a car of this size - my mate had exactly the same whels/tyres on a MK1 Polo and it looked perfect!!! IMO 14's would look better. Cool car though

I should have said wheel and tyre combo - overall diameter just looks a bit too small for my liking, but hey, its your car!!!
I was thinking a bit more like type81's car.

Agreed, too small. Cracking motor though, used to have one in the mid 80s, brilliant car!
Put some larger wheels/tyres on and it'll look superb.
Or, as it's your, you can do what you want and to hell with the rest of us! ;-)

Awesome, just awesome. I would give away my left bollock for this car. I even love the little rims, drop it a bit more and it'll be perfect.

Popped the E21 Melbers on today to see what they look like on her. They are 14 x 6j's. Can't see any of my detailing under the arches anymore:sniff: The arches are nicely filled with this wheel/tyre combo, but may need to stiffen the shocks as there's a bit of arch rubbage when going down bumpy roads!!! now I'm undecided what rims to use!!

Thats Gorgeous as always Coxy, but "on the deck" is slightly missleading ;D as it is I personaly prefer the 2nd set of wheels as they fill the arches nicely, It would need to have the same tyre/arch relationship on the ATSs for them to look hot..... but my god would it then look dam hot!!

Looks better without the sofa castors. It has a much meatier stance with the higher profile tyres and 14s.

Really clean looking car! Nice detailing in the wheel wells too. I love the ATSs but go along with the "needs to be lower" lobby.

looks much better with the melbers, they look like Alpina rims... would take them for the Passat, too
