I love Alfasuds! Very rarely seen now too! IMO go back black, nice and timeless.

Tips from Sud nuts I know;
replace the inboard discs, & put outboard discs on. the 1.7 8 valve is gruntier than the 1.7 16v screamer.
I'd go with the orange - suds are nuts - let it look nuts.

nice project I'd go with the Orange metallic if i were you already so many black suds around inboard brakes are fine, as long as they're in good condition if you decide to go for the outboard brakes (Alfa 33 suspension setup etc) you have to change the rear-axle too and replace the discbrakes with the 33 drums, or try to find an axle from an ABS equipped 33, they also have rear discs. otherwise you don't have a handbrake, that's on the frontwheels on an alfasud. 1.7 8v carbs engine is the better choice, and leave the shortratio 1.5 gearbox on it, it will be a rocket. I own 2 alfasuds, an '82 Ti and an '83 Ti QV, both can be found here (QV is green cloverleaf in Holland )

thats what mine is also a greencloverleaf i got it off ebay for the bargain price of £50 ;D heres what it should look like when its finished if i kept it black but I'm thinking of a mad colour as you don't see that many and most people keep them standard colours i want to stand out a bit . and heres a mad colour one

yep, my green cloverleaf is also black, used to be silvergrey though, but a previous owner decided to paint it black the green cloverleaf is quite a project for now, and i still haven't decided what colour i'd like, so to be able to drive a sud, i recently bought the bleu '82 Ti, so i can take my time to complete the green cloverleaf. QV also runs a 1.7 carbs engine and a shortratio gearbox ;D

will look nice, I'd opt for "electric orange" off a Ford Focus ST almost the same colour, same effects, but a lot cheaper
