Thing were going well with my Mk1 freshly rebuilt running 2.1 on webbers a fantastic car that was lots of fun sideways and if I'm hosest pretty mint
What happens then is a meeting with the UNDERTAKER and CHEEQI and a conversation starts about how much fun it would be to cosworth it
I didnt need to be convinced much
Well the poor UNDERTAKER is wishing his offer of "pop the engine in here" never happened
First the so-called easy job has turned into a massive project
When you first go into these things it seems eay but when you start it is far from that
So far ive changed the tunnel ,crossmember and modified my mint shell beyond recognition and my visa bill has topped out at £5000 and thats just at rally design
My car has gone from a lovely car top a shell in just afew weeks and now is on a spit and I'm stripping off all of the underbody sealer
don't get me wrong this car is going to be V ERY special when finished but god the work is massive
Will keep you all up to date with the project
Next week fitting of the 5 link kit and turrets for the coil overs(no leaf springs)
