well folks, after I decided to not sell my HA, I dropped the bottom end of the engine! Typical, the oil has glitter ! here tha car all polished and not able to go anywhere under its own steam: Front Back: Good news of a sort, I was storing an engine for a friend so a telephone call and a little sucking up to her and the engine is now in my hands , (pending payment) so I thought why not rebuild it first... Question is what colour to repaint the engine after I have rebuilt it, most people say RED, but I want to be different, yellow, orange, blue, green? ?? Good news Dollywobbler, this is the SL90 engine a huge 52BHP, 7 more than the standard engine, your going to get ragged at RR08 ;D ;D

Good thinking Peter, even though I know your trying to wind me up, white it will be, engine almost fully cleanner, 4 more hours worth of cleaning today, just leaves, rocker to sort, then polish the ally bits up and paint the block. Progress report images:

Right latest update on the new engine, I promise car pics very soon! I have decided to keep the engine in its original colour (red) so lookie what I found on the bargin shelf at Halford, some nice RED engine paint, one can later and its,, RED of a sort I hope it dulls down with time, as its more orange than red...

My favourite colour scheme on HAs!
I'm pleased you did the engine red, I have no idea why you'd be doing it anything other than that or black, bearing in mind the colours already on the car. Keep the colour scheme as is - Grey with a red interior and a set of matching red (not bright red!) centred revolutions (or similar, check your local Mini specialist ;D) to set the whole thing off. Perfect.

, just leaves, rocker to sort, then polish the ally bits up and paint the block I love that polish the ally bits up - that's as easy as i thought it would be and then the next thing is you have no fingerprints left and you're coughing shiney metallic coughs!!! Engine looks 100 times better now, hope it all goes back together as planned buddy ;D

"rmad" I have an original set of Brabham rims to go on the car, but I am still to sort tyres out (6.2 x 12 crossplys on them at minute). I was thinking 165/70 x 12 falkens, or 165/60 Yoko's
The Yoko's would look good, but would mean reving the nuts off the car to do 50mph in top gear, so Falken 165/70 tyre's it is
They are basically steel wheels but 5.5j and not the normal 4.5j, the offset on the rims is also increased so they look nice and wide ;D ;D...
Anyone got a good lead on falken 12" tyres.... ?
