looking good! glad to see you cracking on! I Am looking at adjustable wishbones at the moment though ;D Theres a company in america that do tubular wishbones for chevettes; i beleive these might be available with adjusters in. i can probably dig out the contact details if you want / havent already found them.

What you doing in the engine bay? Smoothing or just reshaping to fit engineering bits?? Well put it this way, there wont be anything in there thats not needed to run the engine, and none of that will be standard off the shelf stuff either ;D The Bay treatment may well be a bit "Marmite" too but you`ll like it The shell itself will be getting some Seam/stitch welding and a few strengthening areas fabbed up but it will be worthy of the rest of the build ;D

It's looking good again Dom are you still heading up the mountains for the season? So is the Chevette exactly the same in having double wishbones? Sort of a development of the Viva set-up that the hot rodders use in Pops? EDIT: Sorry, terribly rude of me asking questions on this thread without even once saying OOOOFFF! Can't wait to see this finished

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

Dom...If you're going adjustable...Why not go wide-track? Another excuse to Berg it. *n

|
Top grammar tips! Bought = purchased. Brought = relocated Lose = misplace/opposite of win. Loose = your mum

Dom...If you're going adjustable...Why not go wide-track? Another excuse to Berg it. *n I might go slightly wider but not Berg Wide.... One of the lovely things about the Kadett is its physical size You can actually travel cross country much faster being standard width as you don't have to slow down as often ;D Park it next to a Corsa and it makes the round thing look rather portly, let alone the astra which is the Kadetts younger brother It does alow much more progress to be made IYSWIM ;D

Didn't Froggy make his own wishbones for his Kitten van? Surely it's only one step further to make the 'arms' out of opposite-threaded roase joints with some hex bar connecting them? Spanner-adjustable *n

Spanner-adjustable *n Oh I have a much nicer solution than that don't you worry Rest assured, Camber, Castor, bump steer and toe will all be adjustable on the ones I make

OK some pics to update Carried on paint stripping and wirebrushing to get rid of the small surface rust spots Also cleaned up the welds in the engine bay where we have clearanced the chassis rails Oh yeah and made a small incision too From under the inner wing it looks like this: I am amazed at how good the metal work is under here and although its taking longer I am glad I am sorting it now as had I left it another year or so It would have been so much harder to put right again Oh and heres a General Tidy bright barn shot...... and Hollywood if you are Lurking...... not a Panda in sight ;D Going back up tomorrow to get a good day and a half on it, need to get some shelving up and my Stuff/parts tidied away then crack on with the new Pedalbox design from scratch Cheers Dom
