	Well I have been reading your threads for a while now and like what I see, I started messing with the old stuff 20 years ago, i,ve have rebuilt hillmans, fords, vauxalls and was told by many to do it as a job, so I started Rowley classics and customs early last year and this car coming up was our first that I paid taxes to the tax man on. This golf was tired, ended up in a scrap yard and then brought by someone who tried or learnt to weld on it but gave up, so it was sold to a friend of mine who brought it to me. Well here she is (as it was then) minus the wings which fell off. Before I forget I do own the following 1978 austin maxi, 1963 hillman superminx saloon awaiting pickup back end and a mogy minor awaiting an extreem custom make over.

	There was no camera for the welding so onto the body kit, second hand and did not fit to well there was a 2 inch gap between the sill and bumper, still a pop rivit ever inch saw it well attached, this kit was to be blended into the body so no chances were taken then i laid layer after layer of fibergass matting so after the filing standind filing standind she got a bit of etch primer then some zinch primer

	the car was finished last year hopefully i will have it all on tonight, she was running the original 8 valve, but it is back in now having a mk 2 16 valve 1.8 put in more to follow over the next hour or so

	because the bumpers were also seconds there was no brackets on the sides so some simple ones were made up whilst waiting for the customer to get is paint I did some work to the head a little work with a dremal new valve seals etc and we have a recon head (wished I could do that with whats on my shoulders)

	now for the best part the paint no spay booth cannot afford that yet so a sheet to protect one half of the unit and a good clean up water on the floor after primer we have yes i know its pink thats just the camera it realy is red some of these photos have doors or lights on because i forgot to take photos before the rebuild

	thanks for you kind remarks, the car is back in now awaiting a new engine, mk2 18 valve, comon conversion i know, but i have yet to do one, so i will keep you up to date and let you know what problems i had in case some one here dose one, and if any one has done one and wishes to throw there wisdom my way there will be a custom pint of your choice at the custom pub in custom heaven, thanks.
