Had this one for about three months now.. Must admit it's the best car I have ever owned. 230 bhp, Quattro, Full leather, Air Con and leccy everything. It's soo fast and soo practical as well. Best of all, it just looks like a 14 year old Audi estate, and the boy racers hate being owned by a 14 year old Audi estate.... Planned upgrade to 300bhp very very soon.

300bhp should be quite easy to acheive.

There are a few kicking about, and the price is very dependant on the individual car. I reckon mine is worth around £4k. But I have seen them as cheap as £2k and the very best seem to go for £6k... RS2's £6k to £14K...

It's weird a chip will take me to 280, but it will take an exhaust, de cat air filter and perhaps a bigger turbo to get me over the 300bhp mark... Still though, some of the guys on the s2 forum getting 550 to 600 bhp from the 5 pot engine...

Thanks for the feedback lads, if you know what you are looking at, it get's a good reaction, but folks that are not into cars, just don't get it...
Tigran, it's standard brakes at the moment, but I am looking to source some Porsche calipers just now. The RS2's came with Porsche calipers as standard...
Rainking, the wheels are the latest addition, and really really suit the car...Well i thinkso...

Ahhh didn't realise that they had an S2/RS2 differentiation with the older quick audis, thought it was just the newer ones.
What was the difference between the RS2 and S2?

Ahhh didn't realise that they had an S2/RS2 differentiation with the older quick audis, thought it was just the newer ones. What was the difference between the RS2 and S2? S2 was made wholly by Audi and used standard Audi parts and kicked out 230bhp. The RS2 was developed by Porsche, bigger turbo, highly developed and tuned engine, Porka mirrors off the 968 as well as cup rims, Porsche brakes (the S2 did not have the big red Porsche brakes although some do chose to upgrade!). The RS2 also have the words "Powered by Porsche" on the engine cover, as well as body coloured trim. Only 2000 were made (200 only in RHD). The front and rear spoilers are also different. When the RS2 came out, it was faster than a Maclaren F1 from 0-30!! ps. Superb looking S2 fella and love the RS4 rims on it! Even got room for a 40mm drop I reckon!!

Ok, small update... A few interior goodies purchased, like Plasma guages to replace the worn original dials (pics to follow), and some new drivers side seat foam to replace the worn original, trying to get hold of my trimmer as it's a leather interior... Bought these as well Porsche Cayenne Turbo 6 pot calipers, and these will be mated up to 330mm SL500 V8 Discs and some custom caliper carriers from the guys at Quattronics.. ECU is away being chipped as well (To 280bhp from 230bhp) and looking into removing the AC, as it's heavy and never worked properly..

You. Legend.
That is all. Beefiest brakes of evah. I always look at the big SUV's and their calipers longingly.

Although the Touareg and the Q7 have similar calipers...Only the Porsche one's come in that lipstick red and with that lovley Porsche script down the side.
