not exactly retro I know, but this is going to be our main demo car once the shop is all up and running properly.
few days after I picked her up (after id removed the spoiler to investigate the rust)
going with a wide chargespeed kit, so pretty much stripped most of the interior out and front end off. surprisingly there was very little rot. sills had a few bubble, which have been ground back and treated and a couple of diddie patches on the inner wings/strut top area. Then got to dummy fitting the front end, along with a carbon bonnet
20mm wider wings on the front and 50mm wider on the rear, so I needed to source some decent low offset rims. Spent ages trying to find something to suit and decided I was gonna have to convert to 5 stud hubs.
these are just mock up wheels..
came across these which should suit far better...
265/40/17 for the rears and 225s for the front.
thought about calling in a favour with a powder coater mate of mine, then broke out the polishing gear, just to see what I thought...
came out pretty well I think.....??
front sits spot on and I should be able to lose alot of the negative camber on the rear and make them sit well in the bigger wings once they're on, 265s aren't cheap either, so don't want to go crazy with the camber
its actually resting on the arch!!
fitted some leathers out of an s14 and few essential gauges..
thats about as far as it got at the moment. taken abit of a back seat what with trying to find permises and what have you.
couple of other random pics of bits for her
front mount intercooler
set of 4 pots
feed back....?
