I've been on here for a bit, but haven't really been posting on my own little project.
I have a Mk1 Micra J reg. 1l . which is great for my 1sr car, mainly for insurance.
And my idea was turn it into a little nintendo retro car.
I don't have an orignal pic, but heres a (bad) pic of when the sides where sprayed into black...
I wanted to get a little bit more of an agressive sound from the exhaust, but I couldn't find a back box to fit.
And I did need one as the old exhaust fell off
So after getting the new one fitted, the tailpipe was cut off just after the backbox with a wider bore tailpipe welded onto the box.
which gives a much better sound for about £5...
The next step was bigger rims, I got some 14"x6" rims of James that I met at rr07, which looked, well curse word tbh. But after a bit of treatment, sprayed into black with lowish profile tyres they looked very tidy.
Then theres that problem that micra's have, those rotten square lights coming out of the back. But with the help of a welder and bodge there gone, which makes the micra from the back look like a totaly different car.

debadge, spray grill maybe bonnet into black.
Still on the hunt for more nintendo stickers...
Then after I get a years no claims might fiddle with bike carbs
or twin cammed....
Stiffer springs on the front, and dropped a little on the back.
On the hunt for a front drivers quater hopefuly in the same colour as mines blistered badly round the arches.
...any other ideas welcome...
