It rained the other Saturday afternoon (surprise surprise!) we had nothing to do, and were bored... so we decided to go look at a couple of 911's as we'd decided we wanted one for next year as a kind of 30th Birthday present... Fast forward a couple of hours... and we'd been to see a 964 Tiptronic Targa locally which was not really 'us' although it was a nice car. Then this one surfaced on Autotrader.co.uk and it was local... so we went and had a butchers. It was stored at Francis Tuthills nr. Banbury but was privately owned. Francis put the car on his lift, and went through it as though he was buying it himself.... then he took me for a ride in it! That was an entertaining experience to say the least! Anyway, the upshot is, we bought it... Proper happy.

Thats really smart... gotta be my favourite model of these..... A friend of mine vowed to have one by the time he was 21, he made it.. JUST!.. Took him a nice big bank loan to do so and he ended up buying a peach but i think the enthusiasm for this model in particular has just worn off...
He spent so long going on about the specs of the SC compared to the others and how this was the best for all round use and man that thing was quick!

I'm not saying I'm Batman, but have you ever seen me and Batman in the same room together?.........
And no, I'm not Ben Affleck!

Nice & congrats, guess you bought a really good one then through Tuthill. He certainly gave it a good looking over... which was great as he had no real vested interest in the car... (other than storage fees!) It's not a minter.... but then we didn't give minter money for it.... but it's been well looked after really, just a couple of rust bubbles and some parking scuffs... Not bad for 24 years old.... It goes very well, and sounds gorgeous with it's SSI stainless exhaust system...

Lose the turbo whaletail and it'd be nigh on perfect.
IMHO, obviously. Not sure of the 993 wheel either but that's personal (see the pun?) as well.
Seriously though, nice car.

Surprised myself, really really like that, the 911 is retro through and through. It would never be me to buy one, but its great to have one here, a smart one at that. I bet it is a right hoot to razz about. Like someoen said, a Classic investment i'm sure. Nice work.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Seriously gorgeous Porker, dude! ;D That is a really nice-looking example. I'd love a 911 some day. My personal fave is the 964 C2, circa 1989-1992 or so... I think... Fabulous cars. "I'm"

That is a beautiful car - and very much an iconic car. Do you have a brick phone to go with it?
100% agree on the whaletail - perfect for the car.
Just one question (daft but if I don't ask I'll never know...) what's the SC bit mean then?
