Hey all, thought id post up a few pics of my current daily from a few years ago.. maybe about 5 i guess.. Since that time the poor thing sat under a tree for 4years straight while i was overseas. It received a new heart back in 2000 due to the unwillingness of the old slant and slush to get up to the required road speed. The standard equipment was replace with a ca18de sourced from a fwd Nissan exa. It was spun 90deg and a rwd 5speed was fitted. Anyhow pics... Currently it is receiving a bit of TLC as the tree provided not much protection for her... Now as of a 2 weeks back it looked like Head was rebuilt with a bit of home porting, some bigger cams have been fitted along with a front facing intake manifold and larger throttle body. Ecu is currently away having a few little tweaks made. Anyhows.. the day before last There are still a few things to sort out before it makes it way for rwc/mot and then I will attack the paint which faired the worst. Ill post a few more snaps along the way.

Great stuff... I've got a CA16DE to go in my 1979 Datsun Sunny, going to turn that round and stick it on a 5 speed the same way you have done. Mounts are the same as for a CA18DET ..

Fantastic! Just what I'd like to build. I have been hankering after a tidy sprint for ages now but this might be a better route, thanks for the inspiration. A turbo lump from the 200zx should make it nice and sprightly!

Another Nissan-turbo one! Fantastic! Looks in great nick, conversion looks well done too!
Welcome aboard!
What's the extra rail under the front end, a radiator support?
Was it an 1850 auto to begin with then? I like the lack of the front underriders, looks a bit more tidy.........
<runs off with idea> ;D

What's the extra rail under the front end, a radiator support? does that job and also is the cross member as the sump conflicted with the standard dolly one. and yes.. no sprint was hurt in the making

just watch your clutch plate offsets going from fwd to rwd.. lesson learnt hard way I've been told I'll need to convert to hydraulic clutch. What problems did you encounter with the clutch plate offset?
