Hi. I've been lurking here a while, but thought it was about time I posted something. Not sure if they're classed as Retro yet, but here's my current toys: Here's my first GTti that got me hooked: and finally my RS2000 (to keep it a bit more retro), which was stolen last September: -- Steve

I have owned 2 GTti's in the past (my first car). How I miss its off beat exhaust note! How hard are they to get these days??

Daihatsu alert! Nice work, about time we got more of this marque on the site. I feel they are retro and I'm sure most will agree, as they're fairly obscure and very interesting.
The one at the top appears to be the one formerly owned by "James The Mad Professor" from here, who suggested I put a GTti engine in my Charmant - still can't get the idea out of my head.
By Daihatsu standards they don't seem that hard to get, usually one on eBay every week or two. But many of them are in a poor state of repair now, rotten rear arches etc. Finding a project would seem to be easy enough, but finding a nice one could be a real challenge.

Yes I do believe it was James car, but it had been unloved by the previous two owners to me. One owner blew the engine up, got the drivers door kicked in, and the hatch badly keyed, and the other messed the wiring up ripping the stereo out, and killed the clutch (after the engine had been rebuilt). Fortunately the shell is still rust free. At the last count there were 112 GTtis on the road in the UK, and 117 SORN. Judging by ebay adverts they seem to be getting broken at a rate of 1 month.
