Never had any on my 2-door, and now -- horror! -- have removed the V-O-L-V-O from the bonnet (Will now have mighty clean lines, particularly with slight reshaping of the 'nose' -- pics to come tomorrow hopefully) like this? ;D No, but that's interesting. Where was that taken? Continuing the them of the front and rear lights (see earlier posts in this thread or here and here) Lance at RoR has remade the existing alloy nose out of brass so that it fits properly this time, and given it a slightly more aggressive shape. It was nearly done when I was last there on Friday, and I'm heading ver tomorrow am to check it out and taken it down to the chromers. Will snap some pics before I do.

Thought I 'd update this thread with a couple of pics of the front suspension, which Mark at Romance of Rust rebuilt today, following its return from powder-coating, and the zinc-plating of the bolts. Here's a before pic: And here's a couple taken today, mid-way through the rebuild: Full story and more pics on the Amazon's page on Autopendium

if you haven't noticed I'm following this one , not stalking and it going to be a goodun where do you get your bits from as iv got a couple of places to go but I'm trying to find cheaper and was the front axle bits costly? Follow along! I'm also doing the same with yours :-) Most of the parts have come from Amazon Cars, including, for the front end, progressive springs and poly bushes. The Bilsteins were already on there, just needed cleaning up, as they were still in pretty good condition. I've ordered a set of IPD's anti-roll bars (heavier front one, plus one for the back), and got a few more things from them at the same time, including a street performance cam kit (mine needed replacing anyway). As far as price goes, it's difficult to say -- some things seem really good value, others really expensive. I've done a bit of shopping around, but probably not as much as I should have done. I thought the IPD anti-roll bar kit was pretty good value (US $368.00), given the difference it's going to make to handling, but the shipping was HORRENDOUS, as it's too big to post so it has to be couriered. The blasting, powdercoating and zinc plating was all done with local suppliers Lance at Romance of Rust has dealt with in the past, and I'd be happy to share their details if you're in that area. One you might want to check out is the place I got my stainless steel nuts and bolts from (haven't got the details to hand but they're on my Volvo's page on Autopendium). They were really helpful and pretty good value too. Anything else, just ask.

Gone way over budget on the body, never mind the engine. On the other hand it is looking pretty sweet. Will try and post a pic of the rear bumper on Thursday. Saw it today and it looked pretty special.

Forget the supercharger - B5234T and M90 FTW! That's what my ES will be getting if I ever get the time (been in planning for years).

Short update to show off the Amazon's front bumper, now a lovely one-piece unit with a great shape: . Compare with the original bumper (from which this was made): As ever, more pics and full story on the Amazon's page at Autopendium. [Also details of my blow-out IPD shipment.] Nearly there now on the bodywork -- should be going into paint shop tomorrow all being well. Cheers Chris

Looking good! 1 piece bumpers do look the part! Are you painting or chroming the them? Chroming them. Just got to finish the rear bumper (still got to do insets for reflectors), and they'll go off for chroming. Bonnet 'nose' is now back from chromers. Will post a pic this weekend.

man I'm liking that look, I am hopefully getting a 'rust free' bare shell in a couple of weeks time and your giving me all sorts of ideas, always preferred overriders on the bumpers but that smoothed bumper is stunning!
