Have you sealed up the windscreen demister and heater holes?
That could be a little annoying at times but unless you MOT it without a windscreen (or allow it to be opened) I believe it's a requirement under construction and use regulations to have an effective way of clearing the screen.

Tbh I have a small 12v heater that sticks to the screen just in case but I'm it's going to be a fair weather car any how...

Wow nice to see it again - ready for the gathering? I'm trying really hard but I have still got to strip fill repaint, rewire and recomission the car and I don't think its all going to happen in a little over 2 months- I am making myself do at least one day an week at the moment to try and move it long but you know how these things are- but one thing is for sure it will get done!

more stuff done a flat piece of alloy becomes a battery box- (needs a little finishing) fuel tank half mounted- I have also mounted the battery box and the floor plates (no pics yet)- next the seats and finish the fuel tank then I can start to grind down the interior ready for filling and paint.

Glad to see this back at the top of the page, that interior is going to look brilliant, really liking the ally floorplates, they look most excellent New wheels too, Compo's? Looking good anyway.

@bc wow never thought I would see another set of them where was this? luckygti-thanks they will be powdercoated (colour undecided) they are a set of electrical glanding plates I cut to fit my floor so the holes where pre drilled (unlike my battery box) the wheels are revolution RFX I think- at £60 I was quite please to get some wider wheels (6j) in fiat fitment. more to come next week as its out with the angle grinder for the final grind off in time for filler

Revo's, of course they are! Lucky to get that ally then, how will powder coating hold up to the punishment, not sure how durable it is?

how will powder coating hold up to the punishment, not sure how durable it is? I've had wheels powder coated and on my cars since early mid 90's - done well and not applied too thick it's fantastic Applied to thick and it can chip when tyres are changed if the ftyre fitter isn't careful I wouldn't go back to wet paint again unless it was a finish that I wanted that i couldn't replicate with powder coat ie two colour rim that didn't split ;-)

Right i have finally welded and cut holes in everything i ever wanted so I'm moving onto filling up said battle scars- starting with the front boot - i have removed the fuse box and front brake reservoir, they will be relocated into the area behind the dash and hidden by a hinged panel (seen here as a basic cardboard template) the spare wheel and air horns will still live under the bonnet and I'm considering putting the battery back in its original location as I'm a little nervous about having a battery and a fuel tank located behind the drivers seat, I'm starting to feel its asking for trouble- any hoo I've started to fill it and smacked a little primer to protect the metal whilst i crack on with the interior filling... more soon- (what looks like seagull poop in the middle is some white primer showing through where i ran out and had to use black.... )
