I don't think I have put anything up about my pride and joy on here as yet so here goes!
I brought the old girl about 8 years ago off a friend. it was used as a daily driver until the toll of that forced me into getting something more economical and less damaging to her. she was stood up for about a year getting more and more sorry for herself, sadly I don't have many pictures really from the early stages to hand.
I then started working at a tyre and exhaust company, and took it there to tinker with in between work, and got her back on the road. after a few years of 'rat look' (mainly saving to have a big spend) she came off the road for a stripdown and respray
this was how it looked once it came off the road for the second time....
I had a big bbq/blitz on the camper, got a load of mates round and we all piled into the work (i was going through a very rough time then, without the good help from the mates, it would never have happened, so a big thanks to all of them!)
originally it was just going to be rattlecanned matt black, but I decided in for a penny....and spashed out on a proper respray, seemed after all the hard work of everyone, it was the best thing to do
rattlecanned and ready.....
when it came back I almost cried!!! I was so pleased!!! my mate tinted the windows for me at the stripdown point, as I had decided that it was going to be black and red theme (my 2 fave colours, and ones that match my hair and glasses, well until my hair falls out anyway!!)
its maiden voyage was to big bang last year, but disaster struck when the engine I brought off a mate decided to lose the sump nut on the way home (he had not tightened it, I never checked it either) luckily no damage was done as I shut off as soon as I saw the smoke!
there is still a lot to do, new curtains, interior trimming etc etc its currently in a mates garage having a few things put right then being mot'd again and hopefully back on the road for bug jam if I'm back from work.
I hope this has been of some interest
