Ace concept. I have a hankering to strap a big fwd engine and box to the front of an austin 1100, leaving all the external panels standard of course! Keep at it i keep thinking of a T series turbo into a Maxi ..... (both swmbo and funds say no ......)

Looks like a lot of work! A year on have you made much progress.
I'm wanting to put a 1.8 vvc K series in my Allegro, wondering if I will need a subframe or not?

I was planning in fitting the subframe from a Rover 100 and mounting the 1.8 in that. It should fit straight on, you just need a 1.4 flywheel and clutch.

how can I not bookmark this and wait patiently for it to come together. I have fond memories as a small child trundling around the Cornish lanes in the back of my great uncles 4 door , it was like something from the future after his old wolsey 1500....and my old manual 827 vitesse was just the most amazing car , that Honda engine really is something else. my only concern is that the final drive may be a bit long.... not sure what the rolling radius of those 14"s are? please see it through!!!!

There have been a few rumblings on Instagram and Twitter over the course of the past week that this project may be resurfacing very soon. I hope that is the case as I'm quite keen on this.....

Yes I'd like to see the cooling solution and if they need any help with the rear suspension, I had to use 1250lb springs in the end. I spoke to Jonny a while back and the car was being transferred to a place in the Midlands to be completed, that was the last update.

Love Allegros. Love stupidly over engined Q ships. This has both things going for it. Progress report please.

Cool, Jonny did say it would be going to you guys to finish but that was last year sometime, or maybe even the year before!
Is it going to be progressed soon? What are the plans for a cooling solution?
I'm running the same rear suspenion idea and even with 2000lb springs it's soft. Just in the process of getting some coilovers made by Protech that are going to be super stiff, the old Spax I used were not upto the task.

I see it’s suffering from the sinking fuse box issue that most Allegros suffer from. 😂

Cool, Jonny did say it would be going to you guys to finish but that was last year sometime, or maybe even the year before! Wouldn't have been us. I'd never seen it or even spoken about it until a couple of months ago when Jonny put some photos and info up on Twitter with regards to planning to get the project moving again. I think you may see some updates soon, but for the moment it's still living in the lock-up garage where I saw it being dragged out from!

I wonder if it's Severn Valley Motorsport it's heading to?
Although not fully sleeper their qashqai R (gtr chassis and mechanics under a standard qashqai body was as close as you can get with that level of mechanical transformation.
