Nope, never done a front rad. If I did I think I'd use the heater pipes and block off the bypass in the engine bay. I'd then rig up a valved bypass in the front so hot water from the engine can go through a heater before carrying on into the rad or just back to the engine.
Uxbridge is 20th July, after we get back from the National.

Baz,I should be sorted well before then and with any luck will make it to the national too.the TIKI MOBILE did me proud as a daily for 18mths with little maintainence but now needs some well earned tlc.its off the road and I'm making the most of the coming week to up grade, tidy up and rework it.with its short springs and big pipes coupled with my lead foot its rattled itself apart! I may run twin rads for a while as an experiment or move the heater matrix down to the grill to see what that does.I have limited range at 65-70 mph before it starts to heat up so I'm hoping to sort some effective cooling before the national to make the journey easier.you Imping or towing this year?

Should be Imping, I'd only tow if I had a Commer campervan with a nice torquey engine and 5 speed box fitted. The Imp is running nice now but judging by some horrible noises I think the water pump is going to expire soon so I'll have to move on with the electric fan and pump set-up.

The National is at Malton Rugby Club in Yorkshire. I'm hoping to go up on the Thursday. If all goes well some of us will be meeting at South Mimms Services before heading north. We may collect a few more en route. Nothing fixed as yet.

Orsumz. Loving this baremetal look. Have you sealed it with anything?

After nearly 2 weeks since I last worked on the car,I went to see it this morning and I'm so relieved.I was expecting 'TULSARAMA II'. its really not too bad for being out in the elements untreated. I'm facinated by this panel, its spotless.it was polished with a brillo and its not got one rust spot. work will recomense in the morning due to other commitments and a family holiday I've not had any tinker-time.

There's just something so cool about this - love the hassle its taking to polish the giblets off of it. You know that look people give you when they realised the amount of time you've spent!! For everything else in life ,there's Mastercard

The baremetal looks sick! Great job, dude. And are they banded steels? Cheers! they sure are, they should fill the rear arches no problem when I've finished them(checkout the standard steel in the picture above it).the body work is proving to be quite a challenge but I'm starting to get a uniform finish.I really like that you can see the welds and dents in the shell, once I've got an allover finish I'm going to seal it and see what happens. ;D

i am SO looking forward to see how this turns out, if there is one imp that inspires me then its this one.it just proves that you can do something different with an imp that doesnt involve minilites and bucket seats.it has certainly given me some food for thought which hopefully will spawn into some 'different' mods on my next imp project, and some for the current one too. WELL DONE BRYAN ;D ;D And i always keep an eye out for you when i'm in W-O-T visiting my sis but i aint spotted ya just yet.
