A BIG HELLO TO EVERYONE ON THE BOARD ;D
I'm Paul
Thought you might like a butchers at my 72 HC 2300 VIVA SL 4dr.
I found her sleeping quietly in a garage in Truro, Cornwall some 10 years ago now.
Shes had 2 new genuine front wings which were a nightmare to find, 2 rear arches & a small repair to the headlamp mounts (these are usual rot spots for these). Then in 2001 she had a full respray in cellulose & hand coachlined bodyside stripes as per factory. I've also fitted a 2" bore stainless exhaust with a 2 1/4" tail pipe & an overdrive gearbox from a VX/4/90 Victor FD. I had to shorten the prop & make a new hole for the gearlever as this moved forward a few inches. Interior wise I haven't touched her at all, other than a new bit of carpet & a good clean.
The 2.3 Vivas are rare as rockin'orse poo, as they only built 900 of em, & thats all 3 models (2dr, 4dr & estate) between 72 & 73.
They lost the Viva name after that, gained 4 round headlights & a bit of velour on the seats & were called a Magnum.
There are only 4 x 4dr 2.3 litre Vivas surviving in a roadworthy state. We know of 7 cars in all.
Hope you like
Paul
