Hi, Hopefully we're in for an exciting couple of months so I thought I'd document the changes in our fleet. This picture shows what we've got at the moment (from left) 1970 Hillman Husky (having its head gasket done in this pic) 1988 Citroen Xantia (probably a write off) 1975 Hillman Imp (just about to get 12 months MoT!) I'll keep you posted as they change around! Cheers Graham

That tiny dent you can see on the rear right of the bumper is £500 in insurance money to fix and there's bodywork damage too, a dent down the side just forward of the dent. A bus squeezed past while it was parked... Graham

Just cos something is good for you doesn't mean its good for everyone - for example Marmite does not make good Dog Food.

So obviously you are keeping the xantia anyway?

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Right so. The pug estate is hiding in south Wales while we try to sort our lives out - which is getting tricky. As I thought, the Xantia estate is a write off with a totally reasonable offer from the insurance, so that'll be scrapped fairly soon. TBH I'm not gutted - it has a host of small, niggly problems that will take a lot of sorting out...
More soon!
Graham

Dodgy camera phone pic - but you can see the Bluebird. Hopefully I'll get the Xantia scrapped tomorrow and get some decent batteries for the proper digital camera. Just saved the 'bird from being Barried - it already has a GTi badge, an extra i on the 1.8 GS, a chrome tailpipe thingy, wood effect gear knob and "comedy" numberplates... oh, and it looks like it was a mini-cab before that...
