Here is my Cortina, 1982 crusader 1600, 80000 miles, waxolyed, history, all mot`s to prove milage, electric windows, central locking, never welded, mint interior. just fitted my head unit and multichanger. got to do tie bar bushes and a bit of work on the front valance. I am really pleased with it and loo forward to driving it.  |

Welcome to Retro-Rides, that is one sweet Crusader!! One of my mates had one back in the 80's, I remember him burning the clutch out on Brean Sands after he got it stuck....on reflection it probably wasn't a great idea to pull the choke out whilst in top gear and all of us climb on the roof.....  |

I think I would have paid to see that! ;D ;D The best bit was when it ran off the firm sand into the soft stuff....all four of us kinda rolled down the screen and into an undignified heap in front of the car (which fortunately stalled)!! Unfortunately it met its end in a village in North Wales whilst chasing a road rally, at least it went out in a blaze of glory by completely annihilating a telephone box.......  |

got a note with the car saying that it was one of the last 250 built, don`t know how true that is or where the info came from. it is a late one though |

Lovely! For me that is what cortinas are all about. I'd maybe bosh a 5-speeder in there to seal the deal of 3-box Dagenham perfection.
