That looks sweet as Karlspop. Should shift a bit with a 351. Seen a few proper willys at billing etc. Fav one in the uk was Tony Osbournes. Dunno if he still owns it. Was shiny black with a wild flame job, shotgun scoop out the bonnet and mega rubber out back. Had a 540ci engine I think.
That must just be scary at acceleration. Dads 32' goes sideways when you whack your foot down from the lights and thats a 390ci with an auto box.
Is yours gonna be manual or auto?
As for my car just done a bit more fibreglassing on the car (and myself lol ) to cover the old indicator holes. Put some filler in and left it for today. Go rub it down and finish it off tomorrow. Trying to push it to spray it bank holiday monday if its nice and I'm not working. Wont get much done sat or sunday am stoppin over in manchester sat nite so the beer takes priority ;D

Hi regal rob. Dads rod hasnt been anywhere in the last couple of yrs except americana at nerwark show ground and down to camber sands for a rockabilly weekend. Theres a few simular ones around though! It went to the 2004 nats as it was in the burnout competition, and think it was billing same yr as well. Sounds fantastic when you floor it with open headers ;D Right just found the pic Dads and his 2 mates rods. They've sold theirs now though. Just been looking through loads of old photos to find it. Remeber loads about em all too. Think the NASC nats 2004 was definatly my best even though I was only 15. Dad just gave me the keys all weekend ;D

Havent done much at all in the last week due to work, being curse word and generally not being arsed lol. Back indicator holes have now been filled. Front ones are nearly there aswell! Just ordered a pair of mini bullet wing mirrors off ebay, and am probably gonna get a set of LED rear teardrops with a built in reflector so I don't have to put some more reflectors on. So...........Whats left to do?? 1) finish off all 4 arches. 2) Boot ready to be sprayed 3) Bonnet ready to be sprayed. 4) spray arches when they're ready. 5) spray body. 6) Put all bits back on it and seal windows I'm thinking the best idea would be to spray the body first, get the windows sealed and then I can put the panels back on the car as they're ready so that they don't get knocked around the garage floor/ walls. Only time i'll have over the next couple of weeks is after work as I'm working all weekend and I'm off on holiday in 3 weeks. Thought i'd easily be done by that time but I'm not sure now

Well since we've had a really good weekend weather wise and I was stuck working I thought i'd better drag my ass down to the garage to get something done.............. Most has only had 1 coat so far so it looks a bit patchy. Bodyworks still pretty rough but I'm not really bothered as I don't really wanna be worried about ruining a good paint job. Not like I wash the car either. Only wash this has ever had in the 2 yrs ive owned it is the rain we get ;D Just wanting to get it done now with the good weather and it WILL be going to americana this year. Should look good with shiney wheels if I ever get around to that. New Mini Bullet wing mirrors turned up aswell so they're ready to go on too Wings still need doing too yet.

cheers ;D Just gonna get it on the road for now. I dunno what I'm gonna go for yet but I cant just leave it black.Looks too boring. Got a few weeks to decide as I'm just gonna run it as is until after my holiday. But once on the road again the plan is to put buckets in it ( the seats in now are garbage) Finish off the roof with felt stuff. For some reason only half has been done. And I need to make a couple of speaker boxes as ive got a pair of 6x9lying around so they might as well come in useful

Behind me on the drive through was a cool looking classic mini G reg.pale blue and it sounded fantastic. Just looking around the internet at them at the moment. Cheers mate. I probably will be asking for help in a short while so will beasking for help then. Just get this bug back together and sell it then I can start looking.
Any idea what a ball park figure is for one thats on the road and not got rust too severly. Only reason is I havent got a welder, never tried it and I imagine its not cheap. don't mind payingh for bits to be done but major amounts would probably be a killer at the moment

Is that because the products are curse word quality or are you waiting ages for parts?? Thanks for the info though, seen a few of their ads in Mini Magazine.

the wheels the sell are good and very reasonable but the chrome work they sell is terrible, they sell chinese copies of stuff like LCB and freeflow manifold that just don't fit and the customer service is terrible. there are plenty on mini shops around here who can get anything u need for ur mini. anything u need give me a shout.
