My friend stuyizz told me to get on here!
here's some info on my split:
its a 57 LHD ribbed bumper cali import, I bought it in May last year, it was already lowered on the original beam (fitted with adjusters) had a 1500 SP, straight axle conversion and was still running drums all round. it looked like this.....
to cut a long story short it drove like a whore, wouldn't stop, wouldn't get up hills, had no hope of passing an MOT, wasn't really low enough despite the ride being very harsh and was generally a real disappointment
the guys at T3D then took it on and over the last 7 months it has had the following done: the straight axle conversion was replaced with a Bus Boys version, new 4 inch narrowed adj beam, dropped spindles, CSP discs & dual curcuit conversion, all brake pipes replaced, steering box raised, new front panel & valance fitted. It has also been really neatly tubbed but the seat was modified so the overall height difference for the driver is unnoticable.
I managed to get a ribbed rear bumper which tidy'd up the rear end too. T3D also sorted the electrics and fitted a rebuilt T3 1500S box and had Andy Marriot build a balanced 1641 running twin 40s so it goes really well now. its also 12v and has an alternator conversion. finally its also got a tuck away exhaust, JGE Chrome Radars with 165/50/15 up front, headlight grills, chrome safari's, inside its got a banjo steering wheel, and a few bits and pieces to make sleeping in it comfortable. it now looks like this........
