Well second time lucky, my first readers ride (volvo 240) didn't happen so I have aimed lower this time. 1.3 twin cam in the white one (along with the rear disc brakes) may go in the ep70. Was thinking, shorten the roof behind the b pillar and you got a mini ae86?. Anyone got a clue where to start with a photoedit? Lots of future plans, probably won't go with the faster engine. My bike is plenty fast allready and since the car to me is a toy, id like a fun toy that needn't be greased lighting Maybe a floorpan conversion with an early nissan vanette? only 50mm longer and since I had one for my first drive I'm kinda partial to em. Maybe plonk the 1.3 into it along with the disc's sell it off for lots of money and buy a real rwd startlet? (expensive basturds over here) Anyway got the car for €100, blown head gasket, warped head. Got that lot skimmed fitted it back on today (only took me 2 months lol) next week hopefully it will actually run! body work is pristine prev owner spent the money on a respray and a panel or two. Bloody hate purple though, lazy colour, would have loved the original baby blue. Gonna drive it all summer (to the beach!) insurance is up november, then i'll get serious.

Nice! Not as loved as a KP, but certainly not a common car now! Turbo sleeper conversion on banded steels FTW

Are you thinking of chopping the roof for real? Someone needs to buy you a few ales if you pull that off, a mini Ae86 sounds rather splendid but I bet it isn`t an afternoon`s work. Would look in black over silver like the old Micra "collette"

Well i think that if i do do it, the main problem i see is the three angle effect caused by the light cluster, would be very un 86 that. The rest is just metal work, think the rear door could be hashed up and then a copy could be made of fiber glass.
Anyway thats ages away cos of my job and a complete lack of space to work in.

Well. Chopping the roof would make the proportions all bad, imho

Engine is together, but look some buggers nicked my radiator. and my exhaust. gods i'd love to have my own garage. A piece of metal and a jacket for cover from the melty sun. That all gone now. Strip out the front too, note the lovely blue the car was. And the gear stick mechanism is the SECS, you just can't see it the picture. Found this. double buggers. Next week, i let my better friends weld my busted floor seat mount. Then i ask some pointed questions to my not so good friend about missing a radiator. curse word photos with my phone camera this time, forgot to bring the gf's camera

My radiator is in a CRX? htf a little 1.0 rad can keep a sports honda cool is beyond me.

invalueable haveing another car around to look at wireing and other handy stuff where have you been? only bit of rot anywhere on the car the silencer slash cut side exit tip your not going bald choco! (it called streamlined) blah much better! car is a big tin can which the exhaust vibrates until your nose explodes! Car run's now, too loud, side exit is not finished that may improve thing's a lot when i finish that can't quite tell but i think the engine is fecked can't hear properly. may have to fit the 4efe sooner than i thought. handleing is horrible, lots of roll and the steering rack is notchy. will get wheels next week, allready have a spare set of springs/damper for stick hitting experiments. want a set of steels of a late model polo saloon 14x6j, can't find a pic. click pic's for 1600x1200 images!

hey again! I swear i'l get to the interesting slamage and wheels photos soon! Anyway Had to rush to get the parts off of this, the scrap man cometh. Note the difference to the first pic on this thread. And here's the man who did the bashing, Scott came to help (to free up his guilty mind no doubt), 1.2 nova with 1.6sri engine and scabby arch's Rear disc brake axle out (with expensive handbrake cables) since this in from an ep80 it will not fit my ep70 haven't offered it up yet but the first thing wrong is the panard rod is on the wrong side. Also it weighs about 40/50kg's and that's all unsprung weight. Future mods won't include this thing at all. Now the Wheels Sorry for the quallity and size, pointed the bike at the parked polo and took 2 quick pics. I like the polo wheels, they got a little dish and there are 14x6 the center bore is wrong (too big) and of course there steel OR I can get the corolla gli alloys off the white starlet (gonna have superlites soon ) they are 14x5.5 and have a correct center bore, just not sure I love em least they are light alloy. 6 inchs or light weight? hmm how do I setup a poll?

The shifter feels good too The spare parts pile A dash is easy to get out when you know it ain't going back in ;D To fix leaky heater matrix, remove from car, beat senseless, throw in corner and block up hole. No more leaks! Duck Tape for life! Think i'l paint the grill while it's off, or maybe change the headlights and clean up the holes. In other news, fixed the steering rack(just needed wd40) discovered the brake are truly warped and i think FreeShare is now my new fav image host
