Just to make it official ;D Beige and magnolia at the moment! Dirty Dunlop D1's with some weird tyres on that look good enough for auto grass (cheapest I could get oddly, imported from Portugal). Just over 90K on the clock (genuine)
Bought in July '06 for £595
Work done so far -
- New front half of floor
- New sills (inner/outer)
- New back inner arches
- Much electrical work (but still needs a total rewire!)
- random bits of welding by my mechanic
- Replaced cylinder head, because it was unleaded when I bought it and that's just too much hassle!
- Replaced seats to mayfair style
- Replaced steering wheel to smaller, chunkier one
- Replaced original steels with D1's (but have kept originals for track days)
- New windscreen (original cracked - mix of old glass, hot wax, car wash and cold weather!)
- New front passenger side window (was smashed when car was broken into)

We've got much planned for him, namely a respray in House of Kolor Kandy Violet, with black viper stripes and a tribal design up the passenger side and onto the roof. Hopefully, a 1.5 V6 engine, custom built based on an Austin engine (gotta keep it mini!). Building a fibreglass dash, recovering the seats in black vinyl and making some new door cards to match. Carpet will be ripped up and i've not decided between new carpet or a rubber floor. I'm totally dechroming him, all that is chrome will be black.
